2002-2007                                     US Army Attaché to Singapore and Brunei

Managed all phases of operations for country representative office serving Singapore and Brunei, including significant expansion of security relationships, successful negotiation of a Strategic Framework Agreement, and planning and executing logistics hub operations for a major international disaster relief operation.

 

1999-2002                                     Group Commander

599th Transportation Group, Hawaii

Commanded a joint military/civilian-staffed brigade-level strategic transportation organization responsible for water port operations, ocean cargo traffic management and contingency planning support throughout the Pacific and Asia. Managed an operating budget of $32.7 million and supervised the execution of $22.7 million in major government contracts.

 

1996-1998                                     Inspector General

Military Traffic Management Command, Falls Church, VA

Inspector General of a worldwide Major Army Command and US Transportation Command component providing global traffic management, deployability engineering and worldwide port operations to the Department of Defense.

 

1994-1996                                     Battalion Commander

1316th Transportation Battalion, Yokohama, Japan

Commanded a joint military, US and Japanese civilian-staffed transportation terminal battalion, responsible for sustaining US Pacific forces via cargo management and ocean terminal operations. Managed a 131 acre installation with 16 tenant agencies and 600 personnel. Administered an operating budget over $9 million.

 

1992-1994                                     Country Representative

U.S. Consulate General, Hong Kong

Managed all phases of operations for country representative office serving Hong Kong and China.

 

1989-1990                                     Division Transportation Officer

82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina

Principal staff assistant to the Commanding General and staff in planning, coordinating and supervising all transportation support for a 14,000 man Airborne Division, to include plans and orders, highway regulation and movement control procedures. Participated in the planning and execution of operation Just Cause, the invasion of Panama.

 

1987-1989                                     S-3 Operations Officer

330th Movement Control Battalion and 7th Transportation Battalion, Fort Bragg, North Carolina

Developed, prepared and coordinated plans to allocate resources to support all Fort Bragg units in the areas of line-haul transportation, modal transshipment, parachute rigging, wholesale supply and airfield operations.
