AIRLIFT MANAGEMENT AND TRANSPORTATON OPERATIONS
Primary Airlift
Validator/Manager for Air Education and Training Command (AETC) consisting of 13
bases, Air Force Personnel Center and Wilford Hall Medical Center. Advised
command leadership on air travel policy and hazardous materials travel guidance.
Training manager for 2 instructors/course material on hazardous cargo training
for installation of 5,000 personnel. Lead
transportation expert for command’s crisis action team after 9/11; coordinated
and provided guidance on transportation issues. Provided (AETC) commanders
intransit visibility with status on personnel and cargo during this initial
deployment of forces phase. Primary
air transportation representative/manager for Combined Joint Special Operations
Air Component (CJSOAC) for Iraq’s first historical election after 9/11;
coordinated movement of 100 short tons of special operation assets within
theater in tactical environment. Supervised
the successful movement of 128 tons of cargo/483 personnel on eight aircraft
three times within a 6 week period, in support of Florida’s record setting
hurricane season 2004. From austere
location, manifested and loaded 30,000 passengers, pets and baggage for the
successful evacuation of Clark AB, Philippines in the aftermath of Mt.
Pinatubo’s volcano eruption 1991.
FIRST SERGEANT/EMPLOYEE HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER
Duties: Advised
commander/Chief Executive Officer on personnel actions, legal/personnel matters
and morale welfare of up to 400 personnel assigned. Advised unit’s senior enlisted counsel on professional
development and morale issues. Provided
one-on-one counseling sessions with members on professional and personal issues.
Liaison with base and local agencies on mental health, financial, legal,
professional, employment, housing and educational issues.
LEADERSHIP AND ADDITIONAL DUTY POSITIONS
Exercise evaluation team member for wing/base Inspector General- provided hazardous material expertise for exercise scenarios/inspected wing’s cargo for international travel. Briefed unit commander’s and wing inspector general on unit readiness and training. Unit Behavioral Health Liaison- briefer/trainer on suicide prevention for unit’s 400 personnel assigned. From deployment location, instructed conversational Spanish to 40 deployed British and Australian military personnel.
