Events San Antonio Chapter Home Page
For the first time in several years, the annual Chapter Christmas party was held at the Holiday Inn-Riverwalk. Over 50 party goers were greeted at the door by Cindy Holliday, Chapter Treasurer and Donna Teat, Chapter 3rd Vice President. As always, when among friends, all had a great time! Jon Simms, Chapter President, opened the festivities by welcoming everyone. After everyone recited the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, Harry Reese, Chapter Board of Directors, led in prayer.
There were lots of door prizes. However, the biggest prize for the Chapter was the ability to help a
a fellow Transporter currently stationed in San Antonio. She is a single military Mother (E-5) with two children, ages 11 and 4. The San Antonio Chapter "adopted" her and her family and provided her with gift cards and sponsored their attendance at the Christmas party at no cost to her..
A special thanks goes to Debbie Arnold, Cindy Holliday, Harry Reese, Donna Teat and all others who contributed to making the Christmas celebration such a wonderful success.
