San Antonio Chapter Enjoys a Night Out at the Ball Park
For the fifth year in a row, the San Antonio Chapter of the National Defense Transportation Association closed out the summer with a night out watching the San Antonio Missions Double A Baseball Team at Wolff Stadium in San Antonio. This year again, the Missions went up against the Arkansas Travelers. Over forty Chapter members, family and friends enjoyed nine exciting innings of entertaining baseball action together (and hot dogs, soda and beer, of course).
The game got off to a hot start in the top of the first inning with the Travelers scoring two runs. The Travelers scored ten more runs during the game and, although they fought back, the Missions were unable to score a run during the course of the game. Despite the 12 to nothing loss by the Missions, it was an exciting time for NDTA members, families and friends. And, just like last four years, at the end of the game the San Antonio Missions Organization put on a spectacular fireworks display. Link to Game Photos Link to fireworks photo
It was a grand time for those who attended, and the NDTA San Antonio Chapter participation, once again, clearly demonstrated our pride in the community and that “logistics camaraderie” is still alive and well in the Alamo City.
