Proctor and Gamble Tour, November 17:

 

Join us as we tour the St. Louis Proctor and Gamble facility - the workplace for approximately 450 P&G Employees and ~400 contract employees.  Febreze Fabric Refresher, Febreze Noticeable, Cascade (Gel, Powders, and Action Pacs), Mr. Clean Hard Surface cleaner, Swiffer, and Comet are all made here and sold in North America with some SKU exports to Europe.   P&G is located at 169 East Grand Avenue.   Visitors’ Parking is marked just outside of the main gated parking along East Grand just west of the main entrance.  Overflow visitor parking is just south of the main entrance across the street.

 

Arrival/check-in     5:00 - 5:30

Tour                         5:30 - 6:45

Dinner                     7:00 - 8:30

St. Louis Blues Hockey

 

NOTE THE DATE CHANGE!!

 

St. Louis BLUES Hockey Tickets are available from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) for the February 4th, 2010 game against San Jose Sharks.  Game night is Thursday. Face-off is 7:00 pm.

 

Seats are Plaza End Section 109 – where the BLUES attack twice.  Normally $53/$63 seats, AIChE is offering these seats for $40 in cooperation with the St. Louis Blues “Group Night” program.  As this is a fundraiser for our section, please invite family, friends, co-workers, etc.!

Contact Sarah Bock at 314-654-1852 by January 11th to reserve your seats.  The sooner you call, the better your seats will be!  Checks Only Please by January 22nd.  Tickets can be sent to a home address or picked up at the Scottrade Center will call window.

 

Volunteers Needed:

 

We are still looking for a volunteer to take the position of Secretary for the Section. If you are interested, please contact Bill Shirley or David Haselbauer.

 

Also, Juan Arhancet has had to leave the position of Director for personal reasons. We would like to thank him for his years of service as a Director for the past three years. The Section will need someone to volunteer to finish out his term, which will end in July 2012. If you are interested, please contact Bill Shirley.

 

December Meeting:

 

Our December meeting will feature Michael Olson, a Wireless Specialist at Rosemount, a division of Emerson, speaking on “Wireless Technology in Process Plants.”
