MemAud MemAud is a database application written specifically for Audubon chapters. It will keep records of both members and other people who receive your newsletters, and generate mailing labels, bulk mail cost sheets, phone number lists, and so on. It is designed to work with the printed monthly CCR.
It runs on any IBM PC compatible computer, from 8086 to Pentium. It is free to any Audubon chapter. You can download the complete software package or just the Instruction Manuals, in case you want a better idea of its capabilities.
MemAud Version 4.07 A 16-bit engine that runs on any PC compatible. It's slower and older, but it works on older and slower machines. In fact, if you are using a machine capable of running Windows 95 or newer, this is not the version for you. This version should be used on pure DOS computers or, if you like taking risks, Windows 3.1
MemAud Version 5.01 A 32-bit database engine that runs on 80386/ 486/ Pentium compatible computers running Windows 95/98. This version adds Electronic CCR processing, new bulk mail sorting capability, and Snowbird addressing. It does not work on 80286 (AT) or older CPU systems, and does not print predictably using WIN XP (see next paragraph). It contains a conversion program to copy data from MemAud Version 4.xx or the old Clinchy Database into Version 5.00.
MemAud Version 5.01v2 for systems running Windows XP. XP and the computers fast enough to run it create printing problems that we cannot overcome reliably. Instead MemAud generates a file that can be used by Pagemaker to print very elegant labels. As of this date (9/14/2004) we are developing a similar setup for Microsoft Word, but since we will be out of town until late October, development is on hold. Beginning on October 28th, 2004, please contact Chuck Bragg directly for more information.
