Misha: A gentle chocolate boy who arrived with feisty Sasha, who "ditched" him as soon as she had some free space. Misha got hit hard with ECE but is slowly recovering. Once he's better able to handle it, Misha will need adrenal surgery. Misha is only 4 years old. |
Bullwinkle & Natasha: So named because Winkie is a MOOSE! He's a huge chocolate boy with silly white kneecaps and a way of beating up anyone he can get away with beating (which is just about everyone!) His moll is a pretty silvery sable who seems to be the one who Winkie's bitee's revenge themselves upon. Their owner dropped them at our bet, claiming he couldn't take them to Michigan because they were "illegal." Since ferrets have been legal there for several years, we suspect he simply didn't want to take this pair of 4-5 year olds along. (Bullwinkle - top left; Natasha - bottom right) |

Mira: Not all the ferrets in the Foster Program are elderly. Sweet chocolate Mira was only 13 weeks old when she came to us – with bleach burns over more than 1/3 of her body and totally dislocated shoulder-blades from being stepped on. Mira may require reconstructive surgery and will be permanently handicapped. Mira is healing well and learning to live & play in spite of her disability. |
Pearl: Is another victim who was "left" with a friend when her owner dicaamped. Pearl is a beautiful, petite albino lady of about 4 - 5 years old now. Her story, too, has a happy ending -- a solid, responsible, PERMANENT Foster home! |
