Astro-World Introduction

Astro-World is an Astrology-shareware-program for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 with print and screen interpretations for Radix (Natal), Synastry and Transit Horoscopes. The printed natal chart evaluation consists of about 30 pages. Six different house systems are included: Koch, Placidus, Regiomontanus, Campanus, Vehlow, as well as Equal-House.

Astro-World 2.3 is capable of the following features:

• Radix-Horoscope, on-screen and printer (32-40 pages).
• Transit-Horoscope: daily, or listed for a defined period.
• Synastry-Horoscope, on-screen and printer (about 10 pages).
• Composite-Horoscope, on-screen and printer (about 8 pages).
• An integrated data-base for people and places. Both data-bases can be expanded to around 2.1 billion entries.
• Up to ten Horoscopes can be visualized simultaneously in different windows on the screen.
• Display windows include Horoscopes, Legend, Aspectarium, Chart Data and Aspect toggle pad.
• Dynamic toggle (on and off) of chosen aspects using an Aspect toolbox.
• An Aspect-toolbox allows for switching any aspect on and off interactively. The result is dynamically shown in the Horoscope chart.
• A hand crafted TrueType Astrology font.
• Font/Symbol customization: such as color, position and sizing for screen and printer.
• Chart customization: including line widths, colors, position and sizing.
• An integrated database for people and places. Both databases can be expanded to about 2.1 billion entries.
• The included database of places has over 2000 localities. Additional location data-bases are available, sorted by country, and area/state for the USA (>150,000 places worldwide).
• Names and locations can be imported via ASCII files.
• A detailed context sensitive on-line Help.
• An extensive "How to Learn Astrology Study Guide."

The Professional Version additionally contains:

• Optional redirection of text output to a file (ASCII or RTF structure), for further formatting with popular Wordprocessors.
• The provision to add your own texts to the evaluation database, and use these texts in conjunction or instead of Astro-Worlds’.
• Your personal name on the footer of each page as the licensee.

This program is not only targeted at Astrologers, but also for people who prefer to deal with Astrology in a less serious way! If you just want to print horoscopes for you and your friends, this program might be just right!

Even for the serious Astrologer, this program has many of the basic features with a pleasing presentation. While the present version might have a missing features, you will quickly note that a significant effort has been made to improve the program to its present level - especially with respect to the professional version. Some of the items targeted for future addition are Directions, Progressions, and a planetary clock. We will try to develop this program in a way that both groups of potential users become more happier as time goes by, particularly with the Professional Version.
