The main cabin is divided into a saloon and v-berth. As one enters the companionway, there are four cabinets, two on either side of the companionway.
The upper port cabinet is used for the storage of navigation equipment, whereas the upper starboard cabinet serves as the distribution center and fuse box for all electrical circuits in the boat.
The two lower cabinet doors - P & S - are for service access to the aft cabin. The main cabin sole is vertical grained Douglas fir which is supported on mahogany beams. The sole is built similar to that of Pardey's Taleisin's. One brass toggle holds all the boards in place. When this area was rebuilt, the sole was raised 1", which increased the width by ~8" . In addition, wine and beer bottles can be stored under the sole to improve the ballast to displacement ratio. Looking forward and to port from the companionway is the head and navigation table.
The chart table folds in three sections back to the hull and is located above the head - a 3 1/2 gal. bucket. There is storage on both sides and in back of the head. Next comes the one burner cooker - an Origo nonpressurized alcohol burner - 6,000 BTU. Additional storage is located behind the cooker, near the hull and below the cooker in the form of a cabinet. Between the cooker and main bulkhead on the port side is a sink and counter area.
Behind and below the counter and sink is storage. On the starboard side of the boat is the main settee.
The length of the settee is ~5 1/2 ft. Three separated storage lockers are located below the settee and four divided storage compartments are located in back of the settee, in addition to the shelf in back of the settee.
Looking aft on the starboard side and above the settee is the electrical switch panel. This was mounted on the ceiling to save space and protect the switches from spray. All circuits are independent and fused. A red or green LED shows if a circuit is "ON".
