I'm a composer in Tampa, Florida.
I'm a core artist and a director of the Bonk Festival of New Music, an annual celebration of mostly experimental music.
I have a few degrees in music composition and theory from the Eastman School of Music and New York University. For several years, I taught theory and composition courses at the University of South Florida in Tampa, and I also teach privately from time to time.
Here's a
list
of compositions.
When I am not too busy working
for The
Florida Orchestra, I still sometimes
perform professional-quality editing, proofreading and computer typesetting
of music manuscripts (using the Score notation program) for a variety of
publishers and private clients at very reasonable rates. I also have
experience as a grant writer and grant management consultant, with an
emphasis in the arts.
I play in a band called
Handshake
Squad, featured
twice in the Weekly Planet's "Best of the Bay" issue as "best
experimental band." We think we play pop music, but perhaps we're
just a little warped. Here is a nice
