Favorite Augsburg memory: I actually didn't make it into high school in Augsburg. My family moved from Augsburg to Wiesbaden in the summer of '72. I was in Augsburg from 6th to 8th grade (1970 to 1972). I found this website from a mention of Mr. Harris in History. I had Mr. Harris in Jr. High history. He was my favorite teacher in all my schooling; I'd like to find him and tell him so, if possible.
Friends I am trying to locate:
Since leaving Augsburg: High school in Wiesbaden and CT. Drifted from town to town, job to job. Now an environmental engineer. It's a chancy job, and it makes a man watchful. And a little lonely. (Extra trivia points for people who recognize that phrase from 1970s Europe.)
Current Address: 5500 Fortune's Ridge #106B, Durham, NC 27713
Phone: 919-493-1371

bullet Dan Bower '76
Attended Augsburg: 1972 - 1976
Graduated from AAHS: 1976
Favorite Augsburg memory: What is not to remember, Began living in Sullivan Heights, moved to Centervill a year later. Was into Scouting, Biking, Skiing. Mostly into just doing my own thing, the gym at Sheridan, (marathon basketball games), Brutal raquetball games. 35 cent movies at Reese. The AYA fest, and Dances. Wrist spraining Foosball games. The two proms which I can't remember, (thanks to Floyd Patterson on one of them, "how drunk can we get was the motto". The Obsee bike ride and boat rental (Charlie and John Dutton can fill you in on those details), The endless drives to Heidleburg, to visit my girlfreind (now wife of 21 years). Snowball fights at school, Bagging groceries at the commissary, fighting to get the express lane on paydays, ( big bucks ) The memories go on and on...... the swimming pools, the waterfalls, the zoo, Downtown Augsburg during Christmas ( the sights, smells and tastes), Oh yehhh McDonalds in 1975.. A taste of Americanism... What a treat huh!!!
Friends I am trying to locate: Any who want to get ahold of me.

Favorite Augsburg memory: I only spent from October to June of my Senior year at Augsburg, but I have many fond memories of Germany and AAHS. I loved the classes, especially History with Mr. Harris. In my free period I worked for for Mr. Leavette, the Vice Principal. Mr Bentz got me involved with the German/American Club. Dennis was my Chemistry partner and helped me get through that class. Even though we had to save up our gas coupons we did alot of traveling all over Eourpe. It was an unforgettable experience.
