Favorite Augsburg memory: Lived in Neu Ulm and commuted by bus everyday to Augsburg High School. Those trips were long. Remember coach Greenspan really well. Loved the cheeseburgers at the (AYA I think?) across the street

Favorite Augsburg memory: I felt my best high school years were spent at AAHS. I was the Junior class president 1973. I painted a wall mural in one of the halls. My absolute most favorite teacher taught here (Helen Wichowsky). I would love to find her and thank her for what she did for me.

Since leaving Augsburg: I recieved my Masters in 1980 from University of Kansas. I married in 1976 and have three children. I live in New Mexico.

Favorite Augsburg memory: Football, track, basketball, baseball. Best memory was winning high jump event during '73 USDESEA track and field finals. Also winning football and basketball conference championships and being named to football all-conference team.
Since leaving Augsburg: Graduated from Springfield College, Springfield Mass. Majored in Health Education. Went to graduate school at Trinity University, San Antonio TX. Graduated with Masters degree in Health Care Administration. Worked in Hospital administration since '78, and now service as President and CEO of Providence Hospitals in Columbia, SC. Have wonderful wife, Mary Anne (of 25 years) and two great children, ages 16 and 21.

Favorite Augsburg memory: It was a great experience going to AHS. Taking the train to Munich, Garmisch, skiing, all piling in one hotel room and giving the key to the guys, football games...it was great. And better is getting reacquainted with old friends after so many years.

Since leaving Augsburg: Got married in Dec. of '75. Husband is a pilot with United Airlines. Our oldest is a pilot with US Air, and the youngest is in school in Denver, Colorado in gaming design. I take dance, design costumes for theater and volunteer alot.

Comments: I came on this sight to post my brother's passing last week. He also is an alumni of Augsburg. Graduated in '73 from Augsburg. His name is Manfred Sides. He was in the Navy for 12 years, from October '75 until July of '87. He died of a massive coronary and is survived by his wife and four daughters. I would like him to be put on the memorial page. Thank you.

Favorite Augsburg memory: Greatest memories are of those long, away games--Berlin, Vicenza, and Bremmerhaven. I also remember the beauty of the surrounding area even though I didn't appreciate it at the time.
