cared about us. Our children today should be so lucky, we sure
were! Friends I am trying to locate:
any who remember me Since leaving Augsburg:
Stayed in the military with my husband until retirement in 1990. I
have a 27 year old son, Oliver, and 4 grandchildren. My life is
great, miss the old days in Augsburg! Comments: Thank you for a
wonderful trip down memory lane for a very homesick Augsburger.
You can never go back though, I have been there and it is heartbreaking
to see what remains!!!

AYA dances were great. I played AYA football and
went downtown a lot. Being in a foreign country with no TV gave me great
insight. I have no idea what kind of person I would have been without
the experience. Most people will not recognize the name but that's the
way I am. Thank you for the web site. Special friends I'm trying to locate:

Graduated:
1972 from Del Rio High School, TX
Nickname or other alias you were known
by while in Augsburg: Kelley Favorite Augsburg memory:
I started out at the junior
high in Augsburg and then on to AAHS. I remember Friday nights at the AYA
and graduating to Sat. nights when I started high school. The AYA ski trips
on the week-ends and the great AAHS school dances. I had my first boyfriend
there, Walter Jane. He was a sophmore at AAHS at the time. The best time I
had was at that school. Friends I'm trying to locate:
Kim Reeves, Walter Jane
Since leaving Augsburg: From Augsburg we were transferred to Kaiserslautern and I
attended K-town High. After we left Germany we moved to Abilene, TX and then
to Del Rio, Tx. I attended Angelo State University for a year and then
married a military guy (what else!) and continued traveling to Taiwan,
Germany again and a few places in the states. I had two wonderful girls
along the way. I divorced after almost 20 years, went back to school and got
my RN. I remarried 4 years ago to a great guy (military retiree of course!).
We continue to travel (honeymoon in Spain) as we both still love going to
different countries. Being a military brat can have it's drawbacks, but I
wouldn't change any of it for the world
