Attended Augsburg: October 1968-January 1969
Graduated:
1969 from K-Town AHS Favorite Augsburg Memory:
Transferred in from Ft. Bragg just in time to watch the last home football
game. A couple weeks later, I joined some of those guys on the varsity
basketball team. Road trips to Livorno and Bad-K were special memories. We
won our first 6 games! We fielded a lot of height for being such a small
school. "Bobby" was the greatest player I ever shared a court with, before
or since. Transferred to Landstuhl (K-Town HS) in mid-season, so I missed
the road trip to Berlin, which was going to be the highlight of the season.
My stay in Augsburg was way too short, but I carry permanent and pleasant
memories, including the greasy burgers served at the Youth Center during
lunch hours! Since Leaving Augsburg:
Got a teaching degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, then a
Masters in urban planning from UW-Madison. (Go Badgers!) Married (very
happily) for 30-plus years. Three great kids, all grown up. Life has been
good.

Attended Augsburg:
1966 -1968 Graduated: 1969 -
Waynesville Senior High School, Missouri
Favorite Augsburg Memory:
...September 1967,taking a bus trip to Camp Darby (Livorno, Italy) to support
and watch our infamous football players; Artie, Wayne, Skip, David, Steve,
Juluis, Don and Noel (apologies to those who I do not remember). Greatest time
was riding the bus, humorous glamour of hair rollers cascading the aisles, worn
by many :) I had purchased a long neck wine bottle, several pitched in to
make sure the neck of the bottle was cushioned under the passenger seat of the
bus, as not to damage on our return trip to Augsburg. The moment I stepped off
the bus, stepped toward the car, CRASH! Could not help but present tears from so
much laughter :) Special Friends I'm trying to locate:
...becoming a reality through this site :)
