Graduated:  1957, from Killeen High School Texas
Favorite Augsburg memory: We were the first group attending the high school. I traveled from Ulm each day for the trip. I had many good memories from the bus trips.
Since leaving Augsburg: What have you been up to since leaving Augsburg?: = I finished high school in Killeen, Texas and served in the army. I was stationed in Darmstadt, Germany. I rotated back to the USA and attended The University of North Texas. I earned my bachelors and Masters. I was a teacher and school administrators for 33 years. I retired and worked for a friend in the computer business and wrote software for 5 years. I am an adjunct professor at Dallas Christian College. I teach methods classes. I generally spend all of my free time on South Padre Island, Texas. I stayed in one place for more than 40 years. My kids lived in the same house.

Comments: I attended augsburg american high school from 1955-1958..graduating from the school...my class was the first one to attend the new high school that was built for the american servicemens children...just recently I have discovered Classmates and have been very touched that finally after all these years I am beginning to get in touch with others..only another army "brat" would know what it is like to suddenly lose everything when you are sent back stateside..and on and off you wonder what happened to your clasmates over the years .... my name at school was Janice Allen Dexheimer. I  am in the yearbook for 1957 and 1958 ... by the way, I never had the opportunity to buy the 1958 graduating class yearbook...I would hope that someone would have one or could tell me how to obtain one..this is a wish that has been in my mind for a while now...any help on this..would love to hear from others...thank you

Favorite Augsburg memory:  I pursued all sports, Anne Reynolds, and Carla Powell. It was a wonderful experience. My favorite memory is hurling Cecil Sherman into the end zone (against the rules, but not caught) during a comeback win over Mannheim, in the rain.

Since leaving Augsburg: Served in Army; resigned in opposition to Vietnam; practiced law in North Carolina; 21 years on law faculty at Washington and Lee University in Virginia; now Canadian citizen; live and practice law near Victoria, British Columbia.

Favorite Augsburg memory: We were always on the bus between Landsberg and Augsburg. It's interesting to see so many Landsberg-bus kids on this site; we must be senile by now.
Since leaving Augsburg: Worked and painted. I now live happily in Northern California and still paint. My sister, Kathy (Class of '59) died of cancer in 1980. She was a dental hygienist and had 4 children--she was really cute until the very end.

Since leaving Augsburg: I've been married for 41 years (42 in Feb.).  I have 3 sons and 1 daughter, and 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.  I retired from the US Army in 1980, and from the post office in 1998 and am currently on social security.

Favorite Augsburg memory: we arrived from Ft. Hood, Texas and I was reunited with some old friends from Texas. I spent a lot of time mountain climbing and sking around Garmisch and one of my fondest memories are the special people I met in this class of 59 and they will always be a part of my life.

Since leaving Augsburg: I spent 4 years in the U.S.A.F (1 Year in Vietnam 62/63) and since then I have my own Insurance Business for 35 years.I have a great wife and two lovely children and I am a very lucky man.

Favorite Augsburg memory:  The school was small than and everyone knew everone. Some of the students came in from out of town.  There are so many memories I can't begin to list them. Would love to beable to contact the ones that were there during this time

Favorite Augsburg memory: The bus ride to and from Ulm each day is forever etched in my memory.  On snowy days we rode the train. What an adventure. Our senior class trip was to Venice.  On some weekends the Teen Club took us to Garmisch for skiing.  We were a lucky group.
Friends I'm trying to locate: Pat Brewer, Pat Butler, Georgia Butcher, the WOMEN.
Since leaving Augsburg: San Antonio College and University of Texas '64 Married 39 years, one daughter, two sons, one granddaughter.  Retired elementary school teacher.  I still love to travel.
