NEW
PIPE COATING TECHNOLOGY TO
PREVENT CORROSION AND REDUCE
HYDRAULIC LOSSES
BY POWDER PLASTIC FUSION WITHOUT
SPRAY BOOTH
Our new technology is based on US, Canadian, and European patents where
our unique method of plastic powder deposition is utilized.
Disadvantages of the existing methods:
- In
most technologies for applying plastic powder a pipe is coated in a
vertical position, hence lots of problems if a pipe is long; in those
technologies where pipe is in a horizontal position operation is more
cumbersome, expensive and coating is done to one surface (inside or
outside) at a time.
- Health
factor: loss of powder is about 15%, hence extra powder costs and working in polluted
areas.
- Safety
factor: the use of high voltage electrostatic generator.
- Final
product is expensive due to high operational and capital costs.
- Limited
in diversity of items to be coated.
Advantages:
Our technology is superior to the existing methods:
Our main apparatus (see sketch on the left) is
simple and consists only of a fan (1) and a closed conduit (2) with an
object or a pipe (3) placed in one of the working chambers (4). Both the
inner and outer surface of the pipe are uniformly coated with a coating agent
in one cycle, due to the coating agent flow through and around the pipe,
while the pipe is in a horizontal position.
- No
spray booth is needed.
- No
high voltage electrostatic generator is required.
- No
pipe preheating is required.
- Once
the coating agent is deposited on the surface of the object, the object is
placed in a curing oven wherein the coating process is completed and the
powder is fused into a smooth continuous film. As a result, a pipe has
"theoretically smooth" surface. That, in turn, reduces the pipe
hydraulics losses from 3 to 4 times.
- The
apparatus is simple and product is much cheaper than that on the market
today.
- Application
of coatings can be done both in a shop and at a pipe construction site.
Applications:
A wide variety of objects (some of the coated items shown below
)
can be coated by our method:
* Pipes for various industries of any length and
diameter.
- *
Road rail-guards.
- *
Fence and Light poles.
- *
Tubes of any length and diameter.
- *
Construction metal and non - metal materials, rebars for reinforced
concrete, etc.
