Troop 224 meets all year round at the Pershing Park Community Life Building (Building #5448) located on Moore Street, Fort Hood, Texas. Meetings are from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM. We offer a full range of boy lead activities including camping, hiking , fishing and sports. We plan at least one outdoor activity each month and involved in community service projects on a regular basis. Past activities have included campouts on the Battleship Texas, bass fishing trips and hikes around Enchanted Rock State Park.

Although a major portion of the troop consists of military dependant family members, we also enjoy the company of members from the surrounding greater Killeen Community. All energetic Scouts and Scouters are always welcomed at our gatherings.

It is a goal of our Troop to afford each Scout the opportunity to earn his way through the program. The troop is self funded and we do our best not to pass on operating costs to our family members. Through fund raising and personal financial management each Scout should be able to participate in most events with very little cost.

Like most troops we attend a week long summer camp each year. In past years we have attended Worth Ranch, Sid Richardson Scout Reservation, and Camp Tahuaya.
