My first hardware contribution to the web was this investigation of the RS-232 connection for COM2 on my Asus P4C800E motherboard.

Next came the insane tale of the cell phone ring notifier.

That was followed quickly by the Mark II ring notifier.

I also have a description of my totally silent computer Zooty (no real hardware design on my part, but I put together hardware to build it).
