Powerful newcomer emerged into the Scene with distinctively addictive sound. Their cool, avant-garde, and somewhat nostalgic sound has taken over the Japanese Rock Scene by surprise. All major labels are chasing them around. So watch out! ----- Japanese Weekly Play Boy Magazine
ATP is like sudden shower of meteoric stones.
At first listen, I thought I was listening to someone from 4AD. There is no Japanese pop element in their creation. They are definitely not a trend follower. They are in fact revolutionizing the sound! Their crystalline sound somewhat reminds me of Durutti Column, and for those of us who are accustomed to patterned J. Pop, listening ATP is like being hit by sudden shower of meteoric stones. Their sound is not sugar coated, and with their punk spirits, they will revolutionize Japan. ----- Hisae Odajima, Rockin on Japan
ATP declares, Music is not just an entertainment.
Nobody even heard of them until their Sun-Dancer album. They had spent a whole year in studio and came up with this 12-song masterpiece. At our interview session, they declared Rock is not a silly entertainment show we see on Japanese TV. It is a creation of images, which come from inner-self. Its certainly not the silly 4 beat things they have in J. Pop. They have 12 sun related songs. Their sun, according to them, is the burning red sun, far away in view, like the sun in the winter. Sounds so appropriate. -----Keiko Kusano, Indies Magazine
Shouting at the Japanese Economy.
This new band, ATP, may be the last secret remedy for the Japanese sluggish economy. This Indies band led by charismatic singer Taata is uprising to the center spot. Seems like everybody is talking about them in the music industry. Are they going to be smashing hits and blow the depression away? -----Friday (weekly photo magazine)
Who is ATP? Unbelievable Sound, Unbelievable Talent! ---Junon
Electronic Pop, which reminds me of 60s psychedelic to 80s post-punk. Also it has Jazz & Contemporary Classic flavor. Wide musicality and well-calculated recording work is creating a unique world. -----Kyoji Mikami, Player Magazine
Beautiful melodies floating into sensitive but burning guitar creates a unique pop sound. -----The Television
Their work is like a chemical experiment which mixes pop and art, 60s hippie, 80s punk & 90s techno essence & spirits, and resulted into a unique pop tunes. -----Whats In
Amazing pop tunes, well balancing the cool world of Mugs guitar and female voice of Taata.----- Keyboard Magazine
