The links on this page will tell you a little about the town in which I live (Rowlett, Texas) and will point to some interesting spots in Dallas, Texas, the city in which I work.
Rowlett is a growing city of over 38,000, having begun over 150 years ago as a railroad depot.
The city was actually incorporated on March 29, 1950. Located about 18 miles East of Dallas, on the peaceful shores of Lake Ray Hubbard, Rowlett is close enough to the city of Dallas to
provide residents access to the sporting and cultural activities of a major metropolitan city; yet it still maintains the atmosphere of a small town.

I'm sure many people have pre-conceived notions or impressions of Dallas, Texas, from the media. The links I present here will not point to the usual tourist stops or to
the cultural and sports events that a large city provides. Rather, I want to call attention to lesser-known sites, to spots I've either visited and enjoyed or bookmarked in my memory as
places I want to experience.
