The Strangler began his training in March of 1992 at Iron Mike Sharpes School of Wrestling in Brick N.J.. Sharpes "Brick Crew" was known to have been the best trained indy workers of its day including Devon Storm( WCWs' Crowbar ) Ace Darling, SuperNova, WCWs' The Wall, Johnny Handsome, among a dozen other top talent and also aided in the development of Stevie Richards and Derick Domino

The Strangler and Ripper started out as Helter Skelter in May 92. They were known as a "team ahead of there time" because of their Charles Manson worshiping which was unheard of in its time.When the Ripper retired 2 years later, the Strangler took off his hood and formed a tag team with Billy the Kid known as the BlackJacks ( with the permission from BJ Lanza). After a few name changes i.e...The Outlaws and a new incarnation of Helter Skelter, and winning some small independent tag team titles along the way, after 3 years they called it quits as a team.

As a singles wrestler, Nick Maddox had done some WWF television in the fall and winter of 93 gaining much needed expierence working such noteables as Crush and then WWF tag champs the Quebecers. In the fall of 97, the Stranglers' singles career took off after taking the booking responsibility for Jimmy "Superfly"Snuka. Besides holding on to the ECPW television title for 18 monthes, Maddox travels most of the eastern to mid-west part of the country working for many different promoters and working the top names of the buisness, future and past, while grabbing the accolades from both bosses and brothers.

In the past 3 years, the Strangler has aided in the developement of some of the future stars at the E.C.P.W school in Lake Hiawatha N.J.
