Stangl made a number of plain (undecorated) white birds. Unfortunately for collectors, a large number of white birds have been made since Stangl's closing in 1978 using the original Stangl molds. The birds were made by Frank Wheaton at his Wheaton / Royal Cumberland plant in Millville, New Jersey in the 1980s. In fact the vast majority of the white "Stangl" birds found today were not made by Stangl. Luckily Stangl typically marked most of their birds, even the plain white ones. A few of the plain white birds that are known to have been made by Stangl are the 3275 Turkey, the 3405D Pair of Cockatoos, the 3432 Running Duck, the 3454 Key West Quail Dove (Spread Wings), the 3581 Group of Chickadees, the 3592 Titmouse, the 3747 Canary, the 3751S Red Headed Woodpecker, the 3754D Pair of Crossbills, the 3755 Audubon Warbler, the 3811 Chestnut Backed Chickadee, the 3924 Yellow Throated Warbler, and the Mutual Sunset Rooster. I'm sure there are many others also.
(Note: By far the most common plain white birds are the 3250 ducks. Virtually all of them were made by Royal Cumberland and not Stangl.)
