Salad Sets

Many of Stangl's dinnerware patterns were first test marketed as salad sets. If they proved both popular and practical to make, then they would be expanded into a dinnerware line. Salad sets typically had a very limited number of pieces. Generally just three pieces (a 10" salad bowl, an 8" plate and a 12" chop plate) were made though additional pieces can be found with some of the patterns. Two patterns in particular (Lime and Kumquat) were expanded and can be found with oval rimmed salad bowls, square chop plates, and five-sided chop plates.
