Prestige was a line of sculptured and gold decorated dinnerware patterns. As Stangl's ads state, Prestige was " a ceramic masterpiece created by skilled Stangl Artisans. Sculptured patterns emphasize the design and create depth and dimension that cannot be achieved on regular dinnerware." In general these patterns were considerably more expensive than Stangl's normal hand-carved and hand-decorated patterns and therefore they are in general considerably harder to find. (Note: Technically some of these patterns were not truly part of Stangl's Prestige line. Stangl did not use the name Prestige to describe these patterns until the mid 1960s, by then some of these patterns (Wakefield, Wildwood, and Woodmere) had already been discontinued. These patterns were however made in the same styles, so I have listed them all together.)
