Who We Are

The purpose of this web site is to assist in locating families of certain men that are classified as Missing In Action (MIA) from the war in Southeast Asia.  These MIA's have no next of kin listed in their official records, or their family contact information is long out of date.    The rosters of MIAs contained on this site represent only those men that the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command (JPAC), previously known as CILHI, requires Family Reference Samples (FRS) for, and would like to locate.   A complete and comprehensive list of all POW/MIAs may be found at the DPMO site by clicking on their link button to the left.

What We Do

Our goal is to put any family members that we may locate in direct contact with the appropriate DPMO Casualty Office, in turn, making the government's Family Support and DNA Matching programs as effective as possible.    Detailed information concerning those programs is also available from the DPMO web site, reachable via the link button to the left.

Why We Do It

JPAC has teams dedicated to locating those lost in the war in Southeast Asia. Teams deploy to this region approximately ten times a year with missions lasting 35 to 60 days depending on the location, terrain and recovery methods.  Newer technology such as DNA testing has helped make it possible to verify the remains of any of our MIAs that may be recovered, however, without a DNA sample provided by a qualified family member, positive identification of remains may not be possible.   You can visit the JPAC web site by clicking on their link button to the left.

What Should You Do?

If you, or someone you know had a family member that did not return from the war in Southeast Asia, check for their name on our roster.  This roster contain only the names of those men for which JPAC requires FRS information.   We attempt to keep this list as accurate and up to date as possible.   If you find someone that you have information for, please contact us, or the appropriate DPMO office directly.  If you contact us, we will follow up and provide the information necessary to contact the DPMO, and will remove the MIAs name from the list when that contact has been established. If you do not feel comfortable contacting us, PLEASE contact the DPMO directly.

To view MIA rosters that currently require Family Reference
Samples (FRS), click on the FRS Link button to the left.
