the saddle (low section in the center), and down the other side to Bull Lake. If you
enlarge it, you can just make out the trail angling up towards the saddle. |

The sign that nearly killed us. The lead group
kept going down hill along the Pacific Crest Trail towards a beuatiful lake below that
they thought was Bull Lake. As you can see, though, the path to Bull Lake is straight
up--nearly one thousand feet straight up, and then twelve hundred feet straight down. Up
was harder. |
