The gang unpacks the truck and gets ready for the trek up to Bull Lake.

We're headed for the right side of this ridge, then through the saddle (low section in the center), and down the other side to Bull Lake. If you enlarge it, you can just make out the trail angling up towards the saddle.

Tim and Ray, Just below the ridge, heading for a right turn at the saddle.

Tim turned the corner and voila! A snow field. Way cool.

The sign that nearly killed us. The lead group kept going down hill along the Pacific Crest Trail towards a beuatiful lake below that they thought was Bull Lake. As you can see, though, the path to Bull Lake is straight up--nearly one thousand feet straight up, and then twelve hundred feet straight down. Up was harder.

Ryan, age 12, tries his hand fishing. Ryan is now somewhere between 6 and 7 feet tall, and has his own zip code.
