SCCA Driver's School - People   (Click on a picture for an enlarged view.)

Car co-owner and manager Bob changes the
oil on his motor home, our hotel for the week-
end. Bob was also a most excellent crew.

Co-owner Marcy toasts another successful
weekend. Marcy is a past president of the
regional driver's association. Bob and Marcy
loaned me their car for the driver's school.

My instructor Alan (with his girlfriend Marty),
had three students (below). Marty let Alan
use her Lexus for the ride-alongs so long as
she could ride up front and he went fast. We
all agreed she was a keeper.

Bob, through my car's safety net before the
first practice laps. When he saw the camera,
he tried to grab it. He was right--it ended up
rolling around on the floor under my feet.

Instructor Alan and his three students (left to
right) Matt, me and Kevin. Matt was fastest of
our group of thirty; Kevin second fastest. I was
eighteenth fastest in the dry, fifth in the rain.

driver's suit from MMM carpets.

Me and the mighty front-wheel-drive, catch-
anything-on-the-track-in-the-rain, 2000 cc,
twin overhead cam, showroom stock Nissan
Sentra.

earning her novice competition license.

The folks inside Timing and Scoring had an
excellent view of the track and stayed warm
and dry the entire weekend. This is my kind
of work--think I'll volunteer.

Some of the drivers worked on their cars in
between practice sessions. Some walked
around and took pictures of them working.
