One of a set of "stamps" issued by the Principality of Lomand. There are
sixteen numbered stamps in a sheet portraying various aspects of life in
the Principality, which according to the sheet margin was situated on a
blade of Grass on the shores of Loch Lomand. Someone stood on the grass
and "goodbye Principality". These labels are extremely rare, very few
having got in to circulation. They were apparently produced on a Banda
printing machine (I haven't see one for more than 50 years) so they are
fairly old. [David M. Stirling. ]
