| This is a bogus Ionian Islands overprint from Cerigo; Paxos and Santa Maura are two other bogus overprint types. Are these listed somewhere, listed showing which Greek stamps were so overprinted? |
| I think there is a listing of these overprints in the July, 1995 "Cinderella Philatelist". I had a few in my last sale, and the issue is very confusing, between original stamps - overprint text - overprint color - overprint language (Greek or Italian). I believe the article in C.P. covers the various combinations. I lost most of my C.P.'s last year in a flood in my office and have not replaced them so I cannot check the article myself.
