What about this "A" overprint on a stamp from Ukraine? Genuine revaluation? Local overprint?
Private or bogus issue?

Probably a speculative private overprint, not seen during philatelic studies in Ukraine [Val Zabijaka].

It is a genuine overprint for use. The letter "A" means only in Ukraine. [Protopopov]

None of my collegues in Ukraine ever saw it. I don't understand Mr. Protopopov's
explanation "only in Ukraine." [Val Zabijaka]

Possibly he means for domestic use, similar to the non-denominated "A" stamps of modern Ukraine,
if that's what they are used for. I have similar overprints with "100.0" instead of "A", but I know
nothing about Ukrainian postal rates. [Rick Scott]
