I began collecting Women's Gymnastics as a topical about twenty years ago, when there was relatively little material upon which to base a collection. Of course, this has changed in recent years, when many countries began to issue many, many stamps commemorating subjects of current interest, including, of course, the Olympic Games.

However, if you do run out of collectible stamps (and this is not intended as a negative comment about modern commemoratives), why not try cinderellas? I did, and here's my mini-gallery of Women's Gymnastics cinderella items, including poster stamps, fund-raising seals, stickers, locals, and matchbox labels. In general, they are not cheap and not easy to find, and few catalogues of topical cinderellas exist. This can be frustrating, but it also adds to the excitement of new discoveries.
