You lose your way, as everyone will. Even when you're discouraged, even when you feel so overcome that you give up, I am at your side. Please, go to sleep beneath a night of falling stars. Please; I will wrap the sky above in a lullaby. Through green fields and wind-blown wilderness the smiling faces of many shall support you. Believe that you are not alone; believe in love. chiheisen kanata ni yume wa hirogari yuuki o motte aruite yuku kagirinaku tsuzuku inochi wa nai kara hito wa kagayaku toki o ikiru douka wasurenaide nemurenai yoru mo douka nayamanaide hoshi wa michibiku arasoi no kako mo tsukamenu mirai mo haruka naru tabi no hate ni mitsukaru ai shite iru hito no tame mirai o shinjite Dreams extending far to the horizon, you venture forth with courage in your heart. Life is not never-ending, so each person lives for a fleeting, brilliant time. Please, don't forget, even on your sleepless nights. Please, don't be troubled; the stars will show you the way. You will find both the strife-filled past and the masterless future at the end of your distant journey. For the sake of those you love, believe in the future. midori no heigen kaze fuku kouya ikutsumono egao sasaeru deshou hitori de wa nai n da to ai o shinjite ra ra ra...... Liner Notes from Lunar Songs 2: When Kikuko Inoue-san [this song's performer and apparently Althena's seiyuu in SSS, though I can't confirm this...] said, "These are good lyrics!", ahhh...it made me so happy! Althena always instills such warm feelings in people, doesn't she? [::translator throws up:: Given her use-'em-up-and-cast-'em-aside treatment of her servants, her condemning innocent people and their descendants to live a wretched existence along with those who actually _were_ evil in the Frontier, and her let-other-people-clean-up-her-messes irresponsible attitude, forgive me if I can't buy Althena as the ideal personification of virtue and light...] This song would bring a gentle smile to my face even when I passed by the studio from time to time. Translation Notes: The second "mo" in line 3 is in the song itself but not the lyric booklet. "Kagayaku toki" in line 14 literally means "shining time", and from what I've seen of the phrase's usage, it's used to allude to the idea of the brilliance and beauty but fleetingness and impermanence of life. (The concept is also often symbolized by fireflies, in that they emit a radiant light, but only for a very short time.) Line 15 is rather ambiguous; I'm not totally sure whether it means "don't forget, even on your sleepless nights" or "don't forget even your sleepless nights". The sentence structure doesn't make it clear. "Tsukamenu" in line 17 literally means "elusive", "uncatchable", "unable to be grasped", and I believe in this instance, especially considering the context, it is meant in the sense of "belonging to no one".
