First off, any cat owner has to give due credit to their own felines, so I'd like to pay homage to Rainbow and Brambles, my own Koko and Yum Yum. Cheers, guys.
See the nice new index design? Well, I asked Lord Zhukov for a link to the Siamese Store and Internet Cat Club, and I received some much-needed solutions to my HTML problems and some beautiful new buttons for my site - something that Zhuk didn't have to go to the trouble to do, but was generous to do anyway, and the site is better for it. Doumo arigatou gozaimasu, Zhukov-sama!
In a similar vein, Eric fixed up the attractive and natural-moving cat ani .gifs you see on the index. Thanks!
Jim Kimnach was the first to submit a review (and it was of the audio series, to boot), for which I will be eternally grateful.
Jennifer likewise gave me my first fan art submission as well as very lovely correspondance, each equally welcome.
Likewise, when the Polls page was first up (and very unsuccessful), Crystal Wood was the only person to submit a response ever, which my bruised ego appreciated.
S. C. Mollmann submitted a snazzy fan art pic as well, which I deeply appreciate. Kate F. also gave us a neat-o bookmark to print out! And we have Lara's great "Visitors" pic (ah, and with the neat sky graphics and all...).
Lynn L. sent in two essays for the C-Pad section! *clink* Here's to you!
Much, much gratitude is also due to Eileen Carlan, who has done many, many things for the site, among them writing a loving C-Pad tribute to the friend who introduced her to the series, finding a Played Post Office quotation I couldn't for a C-Pad, submitting the very first reader book review, and assembling the fascinating "Qwilleran's World" section for the Moose County page. I am much in her debt.
Reporter Geoffrey Williams not only sent me extensive Short and Tall Tales info and a beautiful photograph of LJB, but imparted a most precious piece of information - how Lilian plans on ending the series. Thank you so much!
Greg Hopper graciously sent me a Cat Who... parody...
...and Chris Jackson shared his amazingly detailed findings concerning Michiganian locales and their correspondence to Up North places for the Moose County section. How do you do it?
Ben gave me the first pasty recipe on the Recipes page, and I thank him for it.
Thanks to Kate for the compliments and the better picture of Edward MacDowell!
And gratitiude to Joël for taking the time to send me some German Cat Who... book covers...
...and Dominik, for filling in the rest!
Anita Cruzan deserves my thanks for the extensive publication info about the U.S. and U.K. releases in the International section and for scans of rare first-edition covers.
Sharon LePage donated some stills from her gorgeous 3-D representation of Qwill's barn.
Tanis, Angel, and Ann all submitted great poll questions!
And Lara, Eileen, and Jan all gave wonderful Cat Who...-related insights for the namesake page.
Thanks to Becca B (whether she knows it or not) for posting an exhaustive entry on the origins of the word "Frobnitz".
Thanks to Selina for graciously providing some encyclopedia-entry touch-up info for me.
My neighbor's sister, Daisy Heck, gave me the Lemon Coconut Bars recipe. I (and the legions of Iris Cobb wannabes) thank you!
David Hermansen (and daughter Michele of the Cat Who... mailing list, who brought her father's creation to everyone's attention) deserves credit and gratitude for his Qwill tomato juice drink recipe.
More culinary credit goes to the very generous Rebecca M-P for all the great mac & cheese recipes!
Further indebtedness is due to Anthony and Michele (again!) of the Cat Who... mailing list for helping me out with the translations of the German version titles. Many more doumo arigatous are due Martine and Sherri, who graciously volunteered to translate some Dutch and Spanish Cat Who... titles when I posted a cry for help on the mailing list - and Jan graciously translated the Russian Cat Who... info on her own volition. And Sofie volunteered to translate the rest of the Dutch titles. Many, many, many thansk to all.
The webmaster known as daribus deserves my gratitude for introducing me to the LJB Webring and the Cat Who... fanclub.
This page would not have been possible without the advice, encouragement, and support of Patricia. Give Gabriel a kiss for me, would ya?
And, lastly, thanks to Lilian Jackson Braun for being such an accomplished, witty, entertaining author. Our lives would be far darker without her creations.
