I never want Koko and Yum Yum nor Qwilleran to die, never, ever see Qwilleran marry Polly (they weren't meant for each other), and lastly I never want Qwilleran to move to another state.

I fear it may be too late, but I would wish that Pickax is never "discovered" by some fancy travel magazine Down Below. An example of what I mean: Lancaster, Pennsylvania has been so flooded by tourists that most true Amish (the region's claim to fame) have moved away. Pickax is threatening to go down the same route, with the revamped hotel, the upscale restaurants, the college, and in serious danger of losing its quiet charm.
