You'll find this cat napping by the fireplace this winter! Summer in Moose County brought little rain, and the denizens therein worry over the threat of wildfires as fall arrives. When their fears are realized and an arsonist is on the loose, a volunteer fire-watcher is killed as he reports on the blaze. The crime wave builds to a crescendo as the president of the curling club is pushed down a flight of stairs, and Qwilleran and Co. steps forward to sniff out the rat that's lighting the match. Unfortunately, our booksellers didn't care for this "bloodless murder drama", described as a "crime novel more concerned with thin puns than crime. Pedestrian and thoroughly un-involving."
