Fairy Rain

ama oto ga garasumato shizuku o otoshi            The sound of rain drops beads of water on the window pane.
nazekashira shizukesa ga kokoro o mitasu no       I wonder why this calms my heart. 

furisosogu mizu wa mori no yousei                 The pouring water nurtures the forest fairies
inochi aru subete no mono hagukunde iru           and all living things. 

kigi no ha o tsutatte fukaku tsuchi no kaeri      Following the tree leaves down, returning to Mother Earth,
ikusen no toshitsuki o kizande iku                it counts away thousands of years...

itsu kara ka yousei no sugata o kakushi           The rush of everyday weighs down my soul;
isogashii ni mainichi ni kimochi ga fusagu no     I wonder if the fairies are hiding.

ame no furu asa ni kiseki ga otozure              On rainy mornings, a miracle occurs;
kikoenaku natte ita utagoe ga shita               a voice fallen silent has sung once more.

hitotsu mata hitotsu to ochiru mizu no melody     The melody of the water falling over and over again 
osanai ano toki no komoriuta ne                   is an infant's lullaby!

ame no furu asa ni tenshi ga orite                On rainy mornings, angels descend
kawari iku kono daichi o midori ni tsutsumu       and wrap this changing earth in green.

kigi no ha o tsutatte watashi no kami o nurashi   Following the leaves down, soaking my hair   
ikusen no toshitsuki o kurikaesu no               The refrain of thousands of years...

Liner Notes from Lunar Songs 1:
This song is associated with not only with Mia's introduction scene, but 
also with tear-filled visages on gentle daybreaks.  The rain well suits Mia!
Even though she has come to call it "rain", what she hears as the sound of
raindrops are actually her own tears.

Translation Notes:
As with "Adventure Road", I had to slightly alter the line syntax on 
occasion to deal with the differences between English and Japanese syntax; 
therefore, the translations of lines 7 and 8 are transposed from their
original order.
