Since
Oct. 8, 1998 I have been a part of a wonderful group of women that are
collectively known as the W.O.W. (Women of WorldNet). Together, we
e-mail 'round the clock and learn how to survive and thrive on this 'Information Highway'
... the internet. We share jokes; we laugh and cry and pray with one
another; and we pass URL's to the latest, greatest web pages we've found.
We also communicate with each other via internet chat, message boards, newsgroups, and some of
us have actually met each other in person and/or talked to one another on the
phone. We learn from each other various stages of web design and other
computer knowledge. There is always someone to help you leap over the
next hurdle as you're wondering why your new web page looks and reacts so
different in Internet Explorer than it does in Netscape Communicator. Or
maybe...where did my sound go...it was just here a minute ago? Or
perhaps something like...who the heck is General Failure and why is he reading
my disk? Oh my!!!
Nevertheless, we come in all shapes, colors, sizes, and personalities; we come from
all walks of life and all geographical locations and best of all ... W.O.W. is
a safe place where we all can let our hair down and be "just one of the
girls'. I consider it a privilege to be a part of this group. The
women there have taught me immeasurable knowledge and wisdom.
Since one of the goals of W.O.W. is to encourage and help one another in their
web page building skills I will share some of my work here that I've done for
different W.O.W. projects, in addition to actual W.O.W. links for you to
explore.
