Alice J. Pendroy age 5, Druzilla Pendroy age 19, James S. Pendroy age 31, Joseph Pendroy age 29, Rose A. Pendroy age 24 and Walter P. Pendroy age1 were  present in Indiana in the 1860 census.

These were the only Pendroys in the Indiana state census in 1860.

These Pendroys are believed to be descended from Ellis and Mary Pendroy. (This is based on published comments in John R. Pendroy's biography.)

(None of these Pendroy families from Tippecanoe Co. Indiana are known to have came to Iowa.  The families which did had been in Harrison first and then Delaware, Co. Indiana.)

They are all from the same Indiana township (LaFayette) and Tippecanoe county . James and Joseph were brothers. (Joseph is said to have died ....about six years after this 1860 census when Joseph Pendroy was 35.

Their older brother Eli apparently died in Indiana at age 40. The other brother was John R. Pendroy that married Josephine Terrell.
