Christian on his first trip to a park after BMT discharge.
John working at HISO, Honeywell Internet Software Operations at the BMT
unit - not to be confused with the Honeywell Indian Software Operations
in Bangalore, India. Although it is hard to see, directly behind
the notebook computer is an emulation system being used in adding
several features to Chrono IV thermostat. Honeywell allowed
John to log as many hours as possible off site and the hospital Bio-Med
department allowed the emulator to be brought into the unit.
Christian after his first recreational jaunt about the BMT unit.
The door is adorned with Uncle Christopher's art depicting Heimlich from
Bug's Life. The one of Heimlich coming out of his cocoon reads,
"Soon I will be a beautiful butterfly".
Christian smiling after receiving a gift of a Pokémon card from a
retired nun.
This kid knows pain.
Suctioning blood and mucous out of his mouth.
Christian holding the transfusion of bone marrow as it is starting to
enter his body. He was feeling as good as he looks. (Please,
nobody faint at what looks like blood.)
Our emotional preparation for transplant. () I may note that
Christopher did an excellent job of removing the people sitting in front
of Christian and me. I am not making that up. Anders was at
his Kindergarten campout. Look at that smile on Christian's
face!!!
