County Seat is Stillwater.

Washington County is located in eastern Minnesota, with the state of Wisconsin at its eastern border.  Neighboring Minnesota counties include:  Chisago county to the north; Dakota county to the south; and Ramsey and Anoka counties to the west.  The Wisconsin counties of Polk, St. Croix and Pierce are across the state border to the east.
