Clinton Township communities include:  Clinton Falls, Morton and Portland Mills.

Cloverdale Township communities include:  Cloverdale.

Floyd Township communities include:  Groveland.
  • Putnam County Indiana Archives - includes biographies, military pension files, portions of the 1850-1920 marriage index, cemetery abstractions and more.
  • Clear Creek Cemetery, information was gathered and transcribed by Joanna and Sarah Kimbler, contributed to genweb archives by Sharon Bryant - located at the corner of 525N and Heritage Drive in Groveland, Putnam County Indiana.
  • The Palestine Baptist Church and Cemetery, contributed by Sharon Bryant - located three miles east of Bainbridge and one-half mile south.

    • Franklin Township communities include:  Carpentersville, Fincastle, Raccoon and Roachdale.

    Greencastle Township communities include:  Edgewood Lake, Fox Ridge, Greencastle (the county seat) and Limedale.

    Jackson Township communities include:  Barnard and New Maysville.

    Jefferson Township communities include:  Belle Union and Broad Park.  Mt. Meridian is located at the Marion and Jefferson townships border.

    Madison Township communities include:  Brunerstown, Oakalla Station and Vivalia.  Keytsville and Vivalia are situated at the Parke and Putnam county line.

    Marion Township communities include:  Fillmore.  Mt. Meridian is located at the Marion and Jefferson townships border.  Malta Station Post Office (historical) was located near the northeastern corner of Fillmore.

    Monroe Township communities include:  Bainbridge, Brick Chapel and Cary.

    Russell Township communities include:  Blakesburg and Russellville.
    Russellville is located in the northwestern corner of Russell township, and Putnam county.  Blakesburg is near the southeastern corner of Russell township, west of Fincastle (see map).

    Warren Township communities include:  Cradick Corner, Jenkinsville, Putnamville and Westland.
    Washington Township communities include:  Cagles Mill, Hirt Corner, Manhattan, Pleasant Gardens, Raab Crossroads, and Reelsville.  Hirt Corner is situated at the southwestern corner of Putnam county, at the Clay county border  (see map).  Hamricks Station Post Office (historical) was located east of the Houck Bridge, and northwest of Putnamville (see map).
