Moreland Cemetery
: This small cemetery is located on privately owned land, (section 1,
of Clay Township) about a 1/4 mile north of 325 S (also called Hardscrabble
Road), on 400 E, on the west side of the road. This cemetery was visited,
in March 2001, by Ann Mensch. Though there was evidence of approximately
6 to 8 burials and gravestone fragments, there were only 2 gravestones which
remained readable. They were photographed and transcribed at that time,
and the inscriptions on these remaining gravestones are transcribed below:
