Adams Township - Communities include:  Crown Center, Eminence and Little Point.

Ashland Township - Communities include:  Lewisville, Plano and Wakeland.  The community of Alaska (known also as Graysville and Sheasville) is located on the Morgan - Owen County line.  Early settlements which are no longer in existence include:  Rattsville, Minetree (known also as Billtown) and West Salem.

  • Paul Hadley - Artist and designer of the Indiana state flag, Paul Hadley was a  long-time Mooresville, Morgan County, Indiana resident.  He died, in 1971 in Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana. - by Jane Ruddick.
  • FBI Famous Cases - for John Herbert DILLINGER information:  John Herbert Dillinger, gangster of the 1930s era, was born on June 22, 1903, in the Oak Hill section of Indianapolis, his father relocated the family to Mooresville, Morgan County, Indiana when John was young.  He married 16-year-old Beryl Hovius, in 1924, in Mooresville, Indiana.

  • Beech Grove Cemetery (aka Willow Grove Cemetery)
     located section 32, Clay Township, on the northwest corner of the intersection of Beech Grove Road and Robb Hill Road.  The nearest present-day community is Centerton, Indiana

 



Green Township - Communities include:  Adams, Chetwynd, Cope and Exchange.  Early communities included: Bobstown, Cleveland, Crossroads and Stott's Creek Settlement.
