Lagrange County Communities

BLOOMFIELD Township - includes the following communities: Plato and the largest portion of the City of Lagrange.

CLAY Township - includes the following communities: a portion of the city of Lagrange and a portion of Emma which sits on the intersection of the four townships of Clay, Clearspring, Eden and Newbury.  Emma is situated at the intersection of Clay, Clearspring, Eden and Newbury townships.



CLEARSPRING Township - includes the following communities:  Eddy and a portion of Topeka.  A portion of Topeka is also with Eden Township.  Emma is situated at the intersection of Clay, Clearspring, Eden and Newbury townships.

    • Topeka Indiana! - Life in the Past Lane: "...settled in the spring of 1832. Originally, the settlement was named "Hawpatch."
    • Topeka Area Historical Society Museum.


EDEN Township - includes the following communities: Honeyville and Stony Creek, and a portion of Topeka.  Topeka is located on the Eden and Clearspring townships line.  Emma is situated at the intersection of Clay, Clearspring, Eden and Newbury townships.



GREENFIELD Township - includes the following communities: Brighton.



JOHNSON Township - includes the following communities: Valentine and Woodruff.



LIMA Township - includes the following communities: Howe and Twin Lakes.



MILFORD Township - includes the following communities: Elmira, Gravel Beach, Mt. Pisgah, Shady Nook, South Milford, Stroh, and Timberhurst.



NEWBURY Township - includes the following communities: Menno-Hof and Shipshewana.  Emma is situated at the intersection of Clay, Clearspring, Eden and Newbury townships.



SPRINGFIELD Township - includes the following communities: Brushy Prairie, Mongo and Pigeon River.



VAN BUREN Township - includes the following communities: Scott and Seyberts.
