Franklin County Communities
Bath Township - Communities include: Bath, Old Bath, and Mixerville.

Blooming Grove Township - Communities include: Blooming Grove.

Brookville Township - Communities include: Brookville, Mound Haven, Palestine, Stavetown and Yellow Bank.

Butler Township - Communities include:  Oak Forest and St. Marys.

Fairfield Township - Communities include: New Fairfield.  The earlier town of Fairfield [historical] was located in section 21, Township 10 N., Range 2 W.  This historical Fairfield no longer exists - The area is now under the water of the Brookville Reservoir which was reportedly created in the 1960s by the Corps of Engineers.

Highland Township - Communities include: Cedar Grove, Highland Center, Klemmes Corner, St. Peter and South Gate.  Youngs Corner lies on the Brookville-Highland Townships line.

Laurel Township - Communities include:  Laurel.

Metamora Township - Communities include: Metamora.

Posey Township - Communities include: Andersonville.    Buena Vista is situated on the Salt Creek and Posey Townships line.

Ray Township - Communities include:  Huntersville and Oldenburg.  The town of Enochsburg is situated on the Decatur County - Franklin County line.

Salt Creek Township - Communities include:  Hamburg and Peppertown.  Buena Vista is situated on the Salt Creek and Posey Townships line.

Springfield Township - Communities include:  Mt. Carmel, Peoria and Raymond.   The town of Scipio is situated on the Whitewater and Springfield Townships line, near the Ohio border.

Whitewater Township - Communities include:  Drewersbug, New Trenton, Rockdale and Sharptown.  The town of Scipio is situated on the Whitewater and Springfield Townships line, near the Ohio border.
