Fountain County Communities

Cain Township is located in eastern Fountain county, with Montgomery county as its eastern boundary.  Communities include: Hillsboro.



Davis Township is located in the northeatern corner of Fountain county, with the Wabash River as its northern boundary.  Communities include: Maysville Crossing, Roberts, Riverside and Vine.



Fulton Township is located in the southwestern corner of Fountain county, with the Wabash River as its western boundary, and Parke County to the south.  Communities include: Cates and Silverwood.



Jackson Township is located in the southeastern corner of Fountain county, with Montgomery county as its eastern boundary and Parke county to the south.  Communities include: Wallace and Wooley Corner.



Logan Township is located in the northwestern corner of Fountain county, with the Wabash River as its northern boundary.  Communities include:  Attica.
Cemeteries located in Logan Township include:  The Catholic Cemetery (Attica), the Jewish Cemetery (Attica), Riverside Cemetery (Attica), Clark Cemetery, Hatton Cemetery, the Nave/Neff Cemetery, and the Hushaw/Dazey/Rupert/Stephenson Cemetery, Schlosser Cemetery (section 27; Township 22N, Range 7W).

Mill Creek Township is located in southern Fountain county, with Parke county as its southern neighbor.  Communities include: Centennial, Harveysburg, Kingman, Steam Corner and Yeddo.

Richland Township is located in eastern Fountain county, with Tippecanoe and Montgomery counties, as its eastern neighbors.  Communities include:  Mellott, Newtown and Stephens Crossing.  The community of Graham is situated on the Richland and Van Buren Townships line.



Shawnee Township has the Wabash River as its northwestern boundary, and the Big Shawnee Creek runs through the township.  Communities include:  Aylesworth, Fountain and Rob Roy.



Troy Township is located in western Fountain county, with the Wabash River as its western boundary.  Communities include: The City of Covington, which is the county seat, Layton and Palmerton.
Cemeteries located in Troy Township include:  The Barcley Cemetery, Bend Cemetery, Bilsland Cemetery, Briney Cemetery, Covington/Oak Grove Cemetery (Shawnee Township), Danser Cemetery, De Haven Cemetery, Long Cemetery (north of Covington), Mt. Hope Cemetery (1/2 mile SE of Covington), Osborn Prairie Cemetery (east of Covington), Prescott and St. Joseph Cemetery (northeast of Covington), Sandhill Cemetery (northwest of Covington), Ward Cemetery (2 1/2 miles east of Covington).

Van Buren Township is located in central Fountain county, with Coal Creek meandering through its borders.  Communities include: Hunter Corner, Simpson Corner, Stone Bluff and the city of Veedersburg.  The community of Graham is situated on the Richland and Van Buren townships line.
