Clay County, Minnesota
First created in 1858 as Breckenridge County, it was renamed Clay in 1862.
County Seat is Moorhead.
Cities, towns and communities include:  Baker, Barnesville, Crawford, Dilworth, Downer, Glyndon, Hawley, Hitterdal, Lambs, Moorehead, Muskoda, Rollag, Stockwood and Ulen.

Clay County is located in western Minnesota.  Neighboring Minnesota counties include:  Norman county to the north; Becker county to the east; Otter Tail and Wilkin counties to the south; and the North Dakota county of Cass to the west.
