The Lazy Miner Lodge is located on Main Street in beautiful Red River, New Mexico. We offer some of the finest units in Red River at very affordable rates. The Lazy Miner has direct access to the river, a large recreational area with picnic facilities, volleyball, horseshoes and playground. All rooms receive daily maid service and, of course, linens are furnished and kitchen units are fully equipped. Each room has telephone and color cable TV with HBO, and most rooms have a fireplace. For those of you who need their morning coffee, each room also comes with a coffeepot.
We can accommodate groups of all sizes. Our five-bedroom apartment can serve as the hub of your activities, and with its two complete kitchens, no meal is too difficult to prepare. We will also be happy to offer a package designed to fit your needs and budget.
Your stay at the Lazy Miner Lodge will be one to remember and to repeat. During the summer, spend your hours hiking, fishing, horseback riding, 4-wheel driving, or riding the scenic summer chairlift. In the winter, enjoy the ski town of the Southwest with down hill skiing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling or just riding one of the horse-drawn sleighs down Main Street to your favorite shops. Of course, you can just sit back and relax any time of the year.

Value Season: April until Memorial Day and October 1st until Thanksgiving.
Summer Season: June through September. Rates for 4th of July and Labor Day may be slightly higher.

For individual reservations we require the first and last nights rent as deposit to hold the room. We will be happy to secure your room with a credit card for ten days until you are able to send us a personal check or money order to cover the deposit. We will then send you a confirmation, listing your dates of stay and departure, and your balance, which will be due upon arrival. Of course, your Master Card, VISA, Discover or American Express will be welcome to cover your balance when you arrive. The exceptions to this general rule are during the Christmas season and Spring Break, when the full amount is due prior to arrival.
Children out of diapers are persons too. Please inform us of the number of adults and children when making your reservation. We must know this information in advance in order to have your room set up properly before your arrival.
Cancellation Policy
If it is necessary to cancel, your money will gladly be refunded if your room is re-rented. Cancellations within 30 days of reservation subject to 20% service charge. Cancellations for the Christmas Holidays and Spring Break are non-refundable. There are no refunds for early departures.
Restrictions
Discounts and some packages are not available during holidays and special events. Package plans can be catered to your needs. Sorry, but no pets are allowed. Check in time: 1:00 p.m. Check out time: 10:00 a.m. The rates quoted on this web page may be changed at any time and without notice.

We offer a 10% discount on stays of five nights or longer. There are some restrictions. Please ask us if you qualify.
Kids Ski Free / Stay Free
The Lazy Miner Lodge, in cooperation with the Red River Ski Area, offers this program for children 10 and under. For each adult who stays with us and purchases a three day or longer Red River lift ticket, we will provide a voucher good for a similar children's lift ticket free and we will not charge any extra person charge for that child. Please call for more details.
Wednesday Free Program.
This package is available during the ski season and requires a minimum 4-night stay of Sunday through Thursday and the purchase of a minimum 3-day Red River lift ticket per occupant. We will then provide your lodging and vouchers good for complementary lift tickets for Wednesday at no charge to you.
Half Price Weekends
The first two weekends in December, the Lazy Miner Lodge and the Red River Ski area cooperate with a half price special. The Lazy Miner room rates are priced at half off the regular winter weekend rates and the ski area prices all rentals, lift tickets and lessons at half their regular rates. Please call for availability and information.
