rx1Wire – (18,931 bytes) This is a REXX-callable DLL to access 1-Wire devices using the inexpensive DS9097U RS-232 based interface by Maxim. The DLL searches for all devices connected to the 1-Wire bus and displays the unique device ID. It can also read temperature if a DS1820 sensor is available. Posted May 27, 2008. SunData – (30,098 bytes) This is a REXX-callable DLL that calculates civil sunrise and sunset times for a given date, longitude, latitude, time zone and daylight savings time. Posted Mar. 13, 2008. RxExif – (146,487 bytes) This is a REXX-callable DLL that reads EXIF v2.2 data embedded inside JPG images. Most JPG images created by digital cameras now include a wealth of information like camera brand and model, creation date and time, flash type used, f-stop, etc. This library will read all this information. Included is a simple graphical program to view and save Exif data to a text file. Full documentation and sample REXX code is included. NEW: Write ImageDescription tag if it exists. Support for additional tags for Sony and Nikon cameras added. Some bugfixes implemented. Updated Oct. 12, 2005. rxMMIO - (37,522 bytes) This is a REXX-callable DLL that uses the OS/2 Multimedia image IOProcs to convert images to various formats. Basic formats like BMP, GIF, TIF, PCX and JPG are supported. This library also includes basic image processing routines like sizing, trimming, rotating, conversion to grayscale and brightness adjust. Updated March 31, 2004. rxGPIB - (24,689 bytes) This is a REXX-callable DLL that provides GPIB (IEEE488) access to OS/2 Warp 3.0 and later REXX programs. With rxGPIB you can easily control instruments and perform data acquisition using REXX. rxGPIB is ideal for prototyping GPIB software and control instruments in a lab environment. rxGPIB is freeware. rxPortIO - (136kb) This is a REXX-callable DLL that provides hardware read and write services to OS/2 Warp 3.0 and later REXX programs. With rxPortIO you can easily access hardware like digital I/O, data acquisition and other boards that require I/O read and write. rxPortIO is ideal for prototyping hardware for both, the Professional and Hobbyist. Full documentation and sample REXX and Vispro/REXX program source included. rxPortIO is freeware. Simple Shutdown for OS/2 - (109kb) Small graphical utility to provide shutdown and reboot to an OS/2 Warp 3 or 4 system. Works with touchscreen, keyboard, mouse and speech commands. Freeware. TOUCH.ZIP - (16kb) Article outlining my personal experiences using a Touchscreen under OS/2 Warp.Touchscreen is an Elo Touchsystems Intellitouch. Includes information on how to design custom software for touch-enabled operation. Zip file contains article in IBM Works format with a screen shot showing the touch control panel. A second file is included with article in regular text format. PLCTHERM.ZIP - (99kb) Freeware. A thermometer read-out for OS/2. Requires a Siemens TI545 PLC (any 505 series PLC should work also) with a 505-7028 thermocouple module and RXASYNC.DLL (full version available at this site). Please note that this is not a very cost-effective way to build a computer-based thermometer for home use (The PLC used for this project is very expensive). RXASYN20.ZIP - (141kb) RXASYNC version 2.0 by Crucial Applications. Serial communications package required for PLCTHERM. This is available as freeware at many sites and included here for convenience. SWREXX.ZIP - (100kb, executable only). A PM program to switch between Classic and Object REXX. Download the Vispro/REXX source SWRXSRC.ZIP here. Unzip source with the directory option to recreate Vispro/REXX project. X10TEST.ZIP - (269kb) Freeware. X10 Comm Tester ver 1.01. A diagnostics program for the X10 model CM11A/CM12A and CP290 controller. RGBCALC.ZIP - (88kb) Freeware. An RGB calculator designed for Vispro/REXX, but can be used for any other app. generator. Drop color onto text object and save color and RGB components to clipboard to paste as remark to REXX or C code. PM-APP.ZIP - (7kb) Freeware. Contains STARTAPP.CMD and STOPAPP.CMD that show how to start and stop an OS/2 PM application. These files require REXXUTIL and APMT to run (not included). WRPRADIO.ZIP - (162kb) Freeware. A PM program to control the NOVEX RadioActive FM Radio card (card no longer available). Program controls radio volume, scans stations, keeps a table of 30 stations, 10 station channel memory. Includes DLL, documentation (INF and HTML format) and sample REXX scripts to access RadioTrack card. Ideal to write your own cool-looking radio program. Controlling this radio card is simple with this SDK. |
