Cumulus, a program for weather stations

Cumulus is an OS/2 program for the Oregon Scientific or Huger Electronics GmbH model WMR968/WMR928N Weather Station.

Here are some implemented features of Cumulus:

  • Display weather data from the WMR968/WMR928N on the computer screen.

  • Data logging and archiving.

  • Schedule any dialer to connect to internet.

  • Send weather data to a list of e-mail recipients.

  • Update computer time using any NTP server.

  • Upload weather data to APRSWXNET Citizen's WeatherNet. See below.

  • REXX interface to collect and display weather data.

  • Support for Radio Shack WX200, Oregon Scientific / Huger models WM918 and WMR918.

  • 24 hr min/max temperature recording.

  • Athmospheric pressure trend indication.

  • Many more bells and whistles.

Cumulus is uploading weather data once an hour from the Lone Peak Automation location to the APRS Citizen's WeatherNet. Click here to look at the graphs and current radar image. More information on APRSWXNET, including how to join, can be found here.
